Accidental Powercut is a series of gigs commissioned to launch our P5 headphones
The musicians performed acoustically in front of a rapt audience in the atmospheric surrounds of St Barnabas Chapel, Soho and each concert was recorded binaurally, allowing the atmosphere of the music to be recorded for perfect playback on headphones.
The recordings will be donated to the audio collection at the British Library. You can find out more about the history of binaural recording here
The first concert included artists Jono McCleery, Polarbear, Speakers Corner Quartet and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly (left).
The second concert featured Sound of Rum, Fiona Bevan and Ghostpoet.
The third concert featured Talvin Singh, Tinashe and Corey Mwamba.
Highlights from the evenings’ shows are available for members of Bowers & Wilkins’ Society of Sound and customers who purchase the P5 Mobile Hi-Fi headphones.
