The ASW855 has a larger cabinet than the ASW825, and accommodates a massive drive unit derived from that in the 801D, providing a more extended bass response and higher output. The Rohacell®/carbon fibre sandwich cone material ensures that even this large area moves as a pure piston right through the subwoofer bandwidth and well beyond.
Driven by our 1000 watt Class-D amplifier, this driver can produce prodigious amounts of bass power with absolute control; enough for most large high-end projects. But if more is required, all Bowers & Wilkins subwoofers can be daisy-chained in multiples as required.
Comprehensive controls are provided so that the subwoofer can be integrated seamlessly into either a multi-channel or 2-channel installation.
