Senior Firmware Engineer

Bowers & Wilkins, based in Redwood City, is currently seeking a Senior Firmware (Video) Engineer who will be responsible for developing innovative HDMI and HDCP processing technology to control and distribute Audio and Video content around the home. Our ideal candidate has passion to be a part of building the most innovative audio and visual systems the world has yet to see.

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in HDMI and HDCP related software development
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and embedded background
• Proficient with HDMI repeater, transmitter, receiver, CEC, ARC and HDCP technology
• Solid understanding of video and audio format and codec
• Experience working in a Linux or Unix development environment


• Design and implement the embedded software stack to handle multiple HDMI inputs and outputs
• Work closely w/ hardware engineering to realize HDMI switch and HDCP authentication
• Collaborate w/software engineering to deliver best A/V control and sharing experience

We’d really love it if you had:

• Hands on experience with DVD player, STB or Audio Video Receiver (AVR)
• An interest in Home Automation or A/V - or just love, love, love watching your TV
