Senior Audio Engineer

Bowers & Wilkins, based in Redwood City, is currently seeking an Audio Software Engineer to be a part of building the most innovative audio and visual systems the world has yet to see. You will design and implement our core audio service and transport layers. Our ideal candidate has extensive experience working with a variety of audio codecs, streaming services, and interfacing with DSPs.

Today, we are the market leaders in the premium audio category and are used by musicians and producers in the best studios in the world, from Abbey Road to Skywalker Studios. In May 2016, we ushered in a new era for Bowers & Wilkins through an acquisition by Silicon Valley startup, Eva Automation, led by Gideon Yu. Combining Eva’s culture of fast-paced technology innovation and the audio heritage of Bowers & Wilkins will allow us to create fantastic home entertainment experiences that make it easier and better for people to use the products they love.


• 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware and software development
• Proven track record of shipping best-in-class Audio software or hardware products
• Strong C/C++ programming skills
• Proficient with AC3, DTS, AAC and other audio codecs
• Solid understanding of I2S, SPDIF, and HDMI interface
• Experience interfacing with third-party silicon vendors to resolve technical issues
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional engineering teams
• Strong ability to learn new technologies
• Experience working in a Linux or Unix development environment
