Regional Sales Manager - Northeast

Bowers & Wilkins, based in downtown Redwood City, is looking for a Regional Sales Manager, to manage the territory in the Northeast including New England and stretching out to Ohio and the surrounding areas for our regional accounts.

Our founder, John Bowers, started this company in 1966 with a single loudspeaker and the vision, "if you create a better product, you will sell it." Today, we are the market leaders in the premium audio category and are used by musicians and producers in the best studios in the world, from Abbey Road to Skywalker Studios. Objectives:

• Manage the day to day relationships with identified regional accounts and ensure the smooth running of those accounts.
• Achieve agreed targets for turnover and margin.
• Implement plans for growth and help develop plans to realize that potential.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of medium to long term account planning.
• Manage the day to day relationships with key personnel at each account – planning, stock control, sales operations, marketing, finance.
• Liaise with appropriate account contacts to ensure sales and business objectives are achieved.
• Analyze stock and sales data for each account to identify opportunities for sales, improved efficiencies; manage stock levels, secure orders, spot potential problems and resolve before they become significant.
• Work with internal teams in developing and managing the forecast, coordinate the sales orders to ensure pricing is accurate and that orders can be delivered by the promise dates, understand lead times and inventory levels and that the appropriate levels are provided for service and support.
• Partner with the channel marketing team to coordinate executing the brand with our retail partners. Define local market needs that will drive greater brand awareness.
• Provide timely insight on market trends in all areas including, but not limited to competitive placement, pricing, promotional and marketing activity and any additional relevant information.

Requirements:

• 8 - 12 years experience in a regional sales role in the performance audio industry.
• Long standing relationships with the targeted account base.
• Excellent communications skills that range from account management to region wide training sessions.
• Frequent travel to the accounts/stores is required.
• Strong analytical skills.
• A curious, creative personality. A sense of humour. A drive to succeed.
